The programme will be implemented by Mykolas Romeris University and Fernando Pessoa University, Porto, Portugal. Students will spend the first and third semester at MRU and second semester at private Fernando Pessoa University. The last semester they will have possibility to choose between internship in Lithuania business enterprises and internship in different partner universities: Oldenburg University, Germany, Zagreb University, Croatia, Linnaeus University, Sweden. After successful graduation students will receive Joint degree diploma signed by two rectors and gain the degree in Master in Business.

The Master’s degree programme of Social technology management is aimed to train high quality business and management specialists and social entrepreneurs by developing their knowledge and skills of new and distinctive socio-economic-technological processes, ongoing in the knowledge society, the impact of new and emerging technologies on social processes, and to develop practical management skills needed to recognize and successfully apply the potential of new and emerging technologies (from fundamental research and practice) in developing, shaping and managing organizations, such as private companies, NGOs and social enterprises, succesful community initiatives and similar.

The detailed objectives of the programme are worked out with reference to the requirements of Dublin descriptors. These objectives are consistent with the requirements for professionals who are able to organize, manage and apply integrated knowledge in economic, cultural, political and social activities, using the latest technological approaches and methods. The specialist will be able to assess social and developmental issues and internal and external factors affecting them, validate an innovative solution to the problem and implement it in practice, using design and management methods of new technologies. The programme objectives are viewed from the point of social technologies and reflect the impact of globalization factors on complex social, economic, cultural and technological environments.
